Arrow Building Center, Lampert Lumber, and Lyman Companies are pleased to sponsor FREE continuing education courses for their customers.

Courses are approved for MN residential building contractor, remodeler, and roofer continuing education (approved for Energy and Business Management Training) by the Minnesota Department of Labor & Industry, and for WI dwelling contractor qualifier continuing education by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (approved for the four-hour construction laws, codes and contracts, liability and risk management requirement). The Arrow Building Center, Lampert Lumber, and Lyman Companies continuing education program is managed by Housing First Minnesota's Contractor University. 

Housing First Minnesota is known for signature consumer events including the Parade of Homes, Remodelers Showcase, and Artisan Home Tour. Housing First Minnesota's overall mission is to advance the American dream of homeownership.

Contractor University’s mission is to provide timely and relevant information to contractors and suppliers so that they may meet their continuing education requirements, and develop and apply the knowledge, skills and values to provide the highest quality of service to their clients. Contractor University has been providing continuing education training since 2004. 

Contractor University is accredited by the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). All courses comply with the ANSI/IACET Standard, which is recognized around the world as a respected standard of excellence in instructional practices.

IACET only allows the best-of-the-best to join their Approved Providers status. Its rigorous application process includes:

  • Internal evaluations by an organization team
  • Passing an initial review by the IACET Commission
  • A visit/inspection by IACET
  • Final approval by IACET officials
